This time it's sumthg abt the internet in NIT Jamshedpur. Internet connection is sumthg quite common in all the colleges situated all over the world bt to ur surprise it ws a thg of sheer luck fr NIT Jsr students to serve net, till the year 2008. We had a beautiful ( coz dat is d best building of our campus) Computer Center, where we had to go hrs before we wanted to use internet, book our comp and den come back at d given time, if u r lucky enough, u 'll find d server up and u can do watever u like ( except some *** ) fr d time slot of 45 mins.... a real short time fr those who explore orkut fr d first time in their lyf during their first yr....and short fr others too coz during thr stay in the college they have explored so much dat 45 min is really less to open all d links in thr mind.......
Anywayz through a series of events ( obviously initiated by 2k7 batch) we got the so called wifi in our campus, in all d hostels ( including GH, coz net in GH is d main attraction, whn we r on9 ) and we could use net at our disposal. Initially it ws gud coz we compromised speed fr using net in d cozy comfort of our room bt slowly and gradually our needs grew, frm orkut we gt promoted to facebuk, facebuk to twitter, frm gtalk to yahoo and then to pidgin.......and d list of promotions goes on...........
Frequent downloads and few other stuffs( I really don't know dem coz I m a true student of computer science branch in our college where studying is a crime and practical knowledge is considered hazardous to health) by some so called technical students in our college, really fucked d internet speed and nw it's d one way net...... u sign in, see who is on9, u ping and write "hiiii", d other person gets offl9, u abuse him to ultimately find that ur gtalk got disconnected, den as soon as u get on9 again thr is a usual " hiii!!!!!! hwz ya???" frm d other side, nw u wait fr him/her to come on9 and d mean time to post " thr? " for abt more than 10 times ( if shez a gal ) and u don't care if he is a boy, a casual " thr?" is enough............. finally d result is dat it's a singlex stream..........we have a one way channel fr chatting :(
den comes d major boss Facebuk, everytime I open ma facebuk account it inspires me to open ma horoscope company dat predicts things on the internet..... coz most of d facebuk users ( atleast those intellectuals in ma frnd list) are so interested in predicting thr future dat ma wall is full of predictions, someone wants to know abt " his/her soulmate", someone abt " the date he/she will get married", another breed wants to know " wat will his gf/bf say whn he/she proposes her/him" and thr is yet another set who wants to know abt " d no. of children dey will have", " the initials of their luved ones", " hw long will they live", " the name of thr first child".................and d list goes on, it seems dat dey have facebuk as thr best frnd, philosopher nad guide.........
whn they ll have a child of thr own, they ll say "beta facebuk is ur real grandpa, he kept ur name.........plzzz be true to facebuk"
or whn they ll get a positive reply after proposing their gf/bf " I always knew it, facebuk told it to me long back"...............and unfortunately if dey get negative reply den " r u sure....plzzz thnk once agin coz facebuk never predicted so..........u must be wrong, facebuk can't be"..........
Hope d INTERNET in NIT JSR is alwayz young,as it is nw and hope dat it copes with our growing demand....... and at d end ..... " Oh ma facebuk God...........plzzz teme dat wat is d percentage of gals who read ma blog"........... I ll be waiting.......
